I know the mechanic for more than two years. The workshop is hidden from the street and it has a nice view of the city from it. It's not a very grand but it just feel nice.
Patiently, I waited for almost three hours. I like to observe the work. As master of none, I always admired people that have skill to fix things. The rules is in their hand. They know how to use tools and they certainly know what are they doing.
Out of perspective, I think we can't escape problems. It keep on coming. But then, there's always problem-solving. and if that doesn't work, there's always an idiot-guide-on-how-to. This thing call maintainance is so vital but yet I kept on losing track. I should take all those advise seriously and kept it tidy.
Back on the workshop story. It so happens that my car problem is not solved yet. The spare part doesn't work and new problem just kept on emerging. I'm hoping for a miracle but it didn't happen. The job had to be postponed because is already too late and i got to wait another time.
When i'm about to think, that life is something that can be certain, it's really not, there's another part called luck. But yet, we'll keep on learning, trying, rethinking and somehow, keep on working, just to make it happen. Life is beautiful and I'll keep on wishing.

an afternoon at al-masyhur
I was looking at the mamak guy while his preparing a meal for someone. His hand were quick with knive and he organized all the spices and the ingredients in designated spot. I know that his cooking are not that delicious but surely it can be eaten. While my eyes are busy capturing images in high speed, my mind went slow with miserable thoughts. Mostly, it involves with low self esteem and a feeling of lost about the future. I can handle the first part, however the second one is quite tricky. My bosses were mentioning my name quite often recently, it's not that i didn't feel appreciated but I know the main reason is that they want to transfer me somewhere else. I'm okay with it but to start back from zero, is very exhausting. I know it's a phase that everybody must encounter, the question is just the matter of time. Oh yeah, time, something that I'm really terible at. Sometimes I do envy at people that can settle down. They have taken their time and make the decision. But for me, I didn't have that option. Even if I had it..., no I don't have it. And so this nomad just keep on the journey to nowhere, meeting people that he can't call friends and fell asleep after tired reading a book that he doesn't know what the title is. People keep on saying the first step is the longest one. If only I can do summersault, I can be cool without going anywhere. Sweet Dreams and Let see what the future brings.

'bangun'
Another working sunday, I think, after working in this line for several years, I've lost my sense of weekend. Much worse than that, I also can't tell the differences between day and night. It's quite phatetic actually, when your biology clock fails. Up until now, I still remember the 'one' word that my friend text message to me... 'bangun'. Just that one word, and i feel miserable for the whole day. I guess they realized that there's no more use of my bragging my bad habit of waking late. shucks...
There's no acurate reason that I can explain. At first, I tried to blame the weather. Well, it just didn't feel right. Later on, I said, it is because of the nightmares that I had. Then again, it's too childish. By this time being, I just kept silent about it. I know it's my fault because it's all over my shoulder. There's nothing else to blame but myself. And if there's changes, it got to come from inside me.
Maybe, well just maybe, the reason why I'm always trap in this situation is because I want to remain static. Every new phases brings new puzzles. And I'm really suck as a beginner. God knows how many times I've fallen in my steps. Every new chapter, I kept on learning from my mistakes. and I'm tired of being laughed. Sometimes I just want to grab a gun and shoot all the clowns. However, as I learn that i can't cheat, I learn to accept it.... just one of those days out of millions that come from it.
In abstract way, I always hope that everything goes well. I've grown to become a pessimistic but it didn't stop me from having faith. Maybe we just unlucky when stumble into hard situation. Ain't we all. Lately, i'm getting used talking about it to the moon and the stars, I look at the cloud and i pictured it as a painting hanging in the sky, and my favourite moment is the magical sunset. I take it all as a glimpse of happiness, just to get through time that kept on chasing from behind.
Good Night and Sweet Dreams...
*Ps: try to listen Jack Johnson "What You Thought You Need'', I guess you know how it feels.

dia (malam buatku)
One night, a friend of mine came to my room, he took the guitar and he has 'that' look to my face. He tells me that he have a song for so long but up until now, he didn't have the lyric for it. I ask him, what is the songs about? He said he want a song for all the girls he ever loved. All the girlsss... hmmm.. he must be a lucky guy, but then, the word 'loved', that's surely hurts a lot. Technically, i don't believe that it is something that just live in the past, i believe that we all carry it forever, and so I took a pen, a piece of paper and start some writing...
Ku palingkan cermin kerna tiada bayang,
Jasad ini bukan lagi insan,
Aku hanya ingin menjemputmu,
Menemani dalam langkahmu,
Di balik awan, di balik malam, aku berdoa untukmu,
Datang mentari, dan bawaku pergi, namun engkau tetapku nanti,
Ku baringkan tubuh di pohon yang rendang,
Namun teriknya tetap mengigit,
Tubuh ini singgah melihat jendela,
waktu silam yang tak pernah ada,
Aku hanya ingin menjemputmu,
Menemani dalam langkahmu,
Di balik awan, di balik malam, aku berdoa untukmu,
Datang mentari, dan bawaku pergi, namun engkau tetapku nanti,
... and so, I ask my friend, is this what he had pictured in his mind, he tells me, it's perfect. and then, another one of my friend (who sings the songs) came and tell that this song is about a dead person. Later on, we recorded the song to contribute to his demo. Time flies and my friend tells me, his mother was caught singing that song while cooking, and another friend of mine, tells me, his brother was singing it in the shower. I take it as a good sign, it tells that, maybe i can write.
good night and sweet dream

pegun atau pecut
It has been raining and I'm facing writer's block. It seems I don't know how to start. I got no story to share (unless you want to hear lame joke) I got no thoughts to be analyzed. I got no view to put in perspective. It's like, here I am, lying in this page, naked, without any sense of living.
But i do listens and my eye caught some events that are happening around. It's kinda sparkle a bit before I went back to my lair and continue my research and my hibernation. Things, places, people, they all change and I face that fact already. I only need to remind myself everytime I stumble into it, again, and again.
We all have our game to play. Each person are different and so is their game. We play as we seek the answer. Some, like me, never really know about what is going on. Where as, some others, follow their heart and play it deep from inside. The game is about honesty. Although, sometimes it hurts, you just can't deny it. In the end, it does really matters, as you play along.
My trip back at hometown is like taking a pause for a moment. I take my time selfishly by doing nothing. Maybe it's because I'm scared about all the changes, i hide myself. But I think, it's about time, i went outside and see all the wonders that makes this place, my sweet home town.
hug and kisses, sweet dream, take care and good night.

soul-tory-telling
I always take the time i spent in my car as a moment of escapism. As I watch the road, the cars, the people, the places, the sky, I open my mind to countless imagination. There's no substance, it's just I let my mind free to wander around.
Sometimes I create an imaginary person at the passenger seat and pretend to have a conversation. I talk about my dream, my problem and my situation. You can call me crazy but it's the only therapy that I got. Looking to the surrounding of where I am, it's kind hard to talk about what I really am.
With my friends, i can tell them some stories, but never the whole story, like what Bill Cosby had written in his book, trust nobody and smile. Slowly, I learn to appreciate all the small things I watch through my small life. I kept my dreams in my pocket and walk through the days with wishful thinking.
Nevertheless, how I try to change things around (including having plants in my room), I'm still someone who is anti-climax and spoil things arounds. I think the conflict arise because I'm empty inside, but at the same time, I don't want to be ordinary. and the later problem happen, where I feel embarassed because I'm someone who is shy when all the eyes are watching me.
At this moment of time, i think i should be a tree instead. I can let the wind breezes all around me. The birds can always fly around and I can be friends with them. By standing on ground, I can never miss any sunrise or sunset. Time changes, but there I stood still.

blueberry cake, anyone?

Someone at the other end... somehow, I do hope it isn't always dark out there. If only I had instinct to guide me, I don't ask much, maybe some hunch to give me a sense of direction. Because my life has been full of lucid meaningless dream, I need to hold on something or someone's hand, so I know my journey is real. She could be my eye's and I could be her ear's. She can swim in my thought and I can fly in her mind. I don't want to be alone when watching all those painting hanging in the wall. Conversation would be lovely as we change on what we are really thinking. If not painting, we can be as cliche as it can be, talking about the weathers. And then, maybe we could head to the park and run freely like we are six years young. I do sound out of track but maybe we can share laughter over here. If I want to be happy, I don't want to be happy alone, I want to be with someone beside me, feeling the same way. Ain't we all, like that.
I watch 'my blueberry nights' recently, trust me, it's beautiful and it capture moments i've been dreaming all this while.
good night and sweet dream,

burung pagi

I'm going to be honest, I'm not a morning person. I wake up late every day and it's almostlike every fucking working day. I wish I could smash the alarm clock every morning but nope, that didn't happen. With 'kuyu' eye, i pick up my towel, went to the bathroom with the thought about how the day is going to be. Instead of breakfast, i opted for cigarette. There, i stood alone and try to think how life would be if it happened the opposite. Maybe i shouldn't go to far because I still remember the best breakfast I ever had. The dishes was sausage with omelette (someone please help with the spelling) and a cup of black coffee. Someone very dearly prepare it for me and I still remember that breakfast because it was the first I ever had. A big impact do happen from that morning. Since that breakfast, i become a coffee person and it sticks to me until today. On sausage and omelette, i do remember the taste and for me, it's still the best breakfast I ever had. And do you want to know what makes it more special? I do share it with someone.

uncomplete
Believe is what you grab into. Something you can hold on in facing phases through phases. It gives inspiration and make things move. I do believe all great people come from what they believe. Despite that, for this moment, I have nothing to believe. I don't even have an instict or a hunch to really on. I am more of blind man with a stick trying to find where is the hanging pillow. I'm not saying this like I'm becoming anarchy (I still believe in one God) or something, it's just.. I don't know who I am anymore.
Being trap in that kind of situation, you can imagine how many mistakes I have done in the present and in the past. Many of it happen without my conscious, and I have to live through it with regret. I try to put a clear mind on everything but it's not as simple as that. There's too many puzzle left unsolved and I'm stuck here, alone, wondering what is really going to happen. Is my life is just about all those abstract dream that i got? I know what I want but why can't I have it, or share with it, or live in it?
For many parts of my life, I've been suffering a disturbing feeling of not living in the present. Most of time, i keep on questioning myself 'what am I doing here'. It's like a ship without a direction. Yes, I know i'm floating in the sea but where the hell am I going. People said go to school, yes, i go to school, people said, go to work, yes, i go to work, but something deep inside me is asking 'what is trully going on'. I hate my present condition of continous sober. It's like i'm trap in glass jar. I can't be happy because I'm sad. I can't move because I can't let go. I can't live because I'm.. empty inside.
take care and good night

Gold
by Interference (once soundtrack)
And I love her so
I wouldn't trade her for gold
I'm walking on moon beams
I was born with a silver spoon
And I'm gonna be free
I'm gonna be free
I'm walking on moon beams
and staring out to sea
and if a door close
then a road for home start building
and tear your curtains down
for sunlight is like gold
And you better be you
And do what you can do
When you're walking on moon beams
Staring out to sea
Cause if your skin was soil
How long do you think before they start digging
and if your life was gold
how long would you think you'd stay livin'?
Hey
And I love her so
I wouldn't trade her for gold

balik tidur

aku tak tahu macam mana nak cakap, akhirnya 'pengembaraan' 18 hari bekerja straight tanpa cuti berakhir juga. Hmm... adakah ini pengembaraan? Rasanya macam penderitaan jer. nak tak nak, itu kerja aku dan aku memang dah nak muntah rasanya. aku tak boleh nak kata apa, ofismet aku yg lain semua pindah keluar dari jb, jadi aku yang 'tertinggal' ni terpaksa arr tanggung BANYAK kerja. hampeh betul, TAPI!! banyak yang aku dah belajar dan banyak lagi akan aku belajar.
Tentang tahun 2008, aku tak pasti lagi apa prospeknya tapi ada juga arrr perkembangan positif..... agaknya larrrr. Aku memang kena keja masa semua orang sambut new year ari tu tapi aku dapat bergembira sekejap sebab dapat tengok bunga api betul-betul atas kepala aku lagi.
good night and take care

Better Together by Jack Johnson
Aku terpaksa tersenyum pahit kerana aku tahu mengenainya.

looking for sunrise
I sensed that there's a slight possibilities I might died because of lung cancer. It has been many nights I've been coughing before I can go to sleep. Strangely, the cough didn't happen during the day, it only bothers me before the sleep. I know the reason for all this, it must be because of the smoking. However, here I am, a living proof of a chain smoker. Soon, I might be a dead proof.
One of my friend ask me why I keep on smoking. Actually there's a lot of answer for his question but I tell him one thing, I just didn't know how to stop something I've started. It just stuck and become a part of me. My family knows about it and I've been given health dan financial lectures. Most of the time, i just silence myself, but you know me, a rebel inside.
Anyhow, i'm taking this opportunity (because i'm still alive) to appologize to anyone I've hurt before. I know that all the people around me says that I live in my own stupid world, but the thing is, all I really want is for them and all my friends and families to be happy. I never meant to make you all sad.
I would also want to take this chance to say that I'm not a bitter or a cynical person. I'm actually someone who is still learning. I don't have the answer for all the question and it does frustated me. Usually, i put the question in art form and it become even more sick or maybe, too abstract. I try not to think about it but ignorance is not a fucking bliss. Where I like it or not, I'm living in it and I'm really sorry about it.
I can't tell whether I'm really going to become a smoker forever. I do appreciate life and I'm trying hard to do good changes bit by bit. One thing I can tell you, changes didn't happen instally. It's something like staring at sunrise. Without you even really notice it, the darkness has gone and you find yourself under the sun.

Honestly, in all my life this while, I never really had a father and son conversation.. until recently. All this time, the conversation between me and me dad, it's more about studying hard and save money properly. I never really know how's his young days are and he doesn't share his adventures with me. In easy way of saying it, he doesn't resemble the cool dad hanging out with his kids like what you watch in the movies. Hmm.. I don't know if I turn out like what he had imagined, but then, I think I turn out alright although not a big shot millionaire like Tajudin Ramli (during his prime time) and Daim Zainuddin. The thing is, he had encourage me to become guys like that even from my primary school days.
I could say that my dad is someone who is quite conservative. That value have been applied in the family and that is the reason why I always have that moral conscious ringing in my head. I remember that one of my sister have ask his permision to become a stewardess or maybe a secretary. Off course, that request had been denied. Now she's a teacher with three kids. Me? well he maybe doesn't really know what 'mass comm world' is all about. Heck, even I don't know what mass comm is when i apply it.
Now, i've been observing. Sometimes I just can't figured out how my mom was attracted to my dad. I know this topic somehow resembles Back To The Future Trilogy but it's true. My mom, if i could describe it, she's somehow belongs to the popular group. I noticed that womans always surrounds her and want to have conversation. My dad, in the other hand, is someone who can be really quiet in the crowd although he seems eager to join in. This is quite odd i presumed.
Now, back at the topic of the father and son conversation, I had it while I'm driving the car and he's sitting beside me. At that time, we are on the way back from a 'BIG' family reunion. In that function, I've been told about how influential and famous (not rich) my late great grandfather was from my uncles, cousins and how do say 'datuk sedara' in english. The thing is, i feel it isn't fair that I know all about my great grandfather but I didn't know a thing about my late grandfather and my father himself.
I urged my father to tell me about his life back then. My father didn't show any emotion but the story is quite sad. He tells me that my grandfather passed away when he was just seventeen years old. He's the eldest son and below him is two of my auntie and my uncle. All together, he must take care of five people including my grandmother and his older sister. Taking care of the family is hard enough already but what is more complicated is that my grandfather didn't left them a house.
My grandad is very 'warak' and he is a khalifah for a tariqat. because of this lifestyle, he prefers that his family to stays at the madrasah. my father explain, is not that my grandad didn't want to build a house but the project was delayed because of the japanese occupation and he died without abbling to finish it. Now here's the part where i also feel angry. After my grandad had passes away, the villagers and some of relatives were bitching to my dad about how his family didn't have a house and had to 'tumpang' the madrasah. They say things like where are my aunties are going to get married if they just kept on staying at the madrasah.
My dad, off course was furious with all those rubbish statement. How does he react? He do feel low but he determined to build a house for the family. And so, he work hard and save as much money as he can. He's not a university graduate and earn monthly maybe RM200 at that time. He's also not a businessman but he's very disciplined in saving all the money he got. He builds part by part starting from main pillar, to roof and to walls. He couldn't afford to built it straight away, because of the financial problem, and so the project was delayed from time to time but it finished and my dad finally have a house for his family.
Now, the funny twist in this life sees that none of my aunties married at that house and nobody of the family really stayed. They all move on out from the village with their new life, including my dad, but he somehow managed to prove to the villagers that the family have their house and all those fucking people that have been bitching should shut their fucking mouth.
I now realized, that what my mother had seen in my dad is his determination. He maybe just a low rank goverment servant but he managed to save money to own some properties. My family is still not very rich or glamourous as other people are, but my dad really have a good character inside him. He puts his family first before him and he determined to make sure all of him siblings and his daughters and sons have their education. His strength maybe is his weakness also, but that is what makes him the person today. woooorghhh, suddenly i'm feeling goosebum, my dad in fact, is a cool guy. what i can say more, i'm his son anyway.

bawah rembulan
Pernahkah kau melihat aku lena tanpa memikirkannya.
